More Than 5 Years of Wild Lapland Adventures

Who We Are

Keo Wilderness is a local wilderness company based in Levi, Finnish Lapland. With over 5 years of experience guiding in Arctic nature, we create unforgettable outdoor adventures for couples, families, and solo travelers who want to feel a real connection with the land.

Founded in 2018 by local wilderness guide Keo, the company began with a deep belief:

''Help people discover Lapland as it truly is — quiet, powerful, and alive with stories.''

Starting with just a pair of snowshoes and a campfire, Keo Wilderness has grown into a trusted name in nature-based experiences, welcoming travellers from around the world who are looking for something meaningful — not manufactured.

What Makes Us Different

We know Lapland like the back of our hands — every trail, storm pattern, reindeer path, and hidden lookout.

✔️ Nature Comes First

We follow low-impact travel practices and leave every place better than

we found it.'

✔️ For Couples, Families & Solo Explorers

Whether you're sharing an adventure with a loved one, your kids, or traveling on your own — we create space for you to fully experience the magic of Lapland.

✔️ Authentic, Not Artificial

You won’t find tourist gimmicks here — just real landscapes, honest storytelling, and hands-on skills.

✔️ Cultural Awareness

We respect and honor the Sámi culture, and only share traditions that are offered openly and with permission.

Magic of the North

Lapland is one of the most mysterious regions on the planet. Here, amazing animals live, the sun doesn’t set in summer and doesn’t rise in winter, and the sky lights up with the Northern Lights.

Nature of Lapland

Lapland spans northern Finland, Sweden, Norway, and part of Russia.
It is home to endless taiga forests, tundra, mosses, lichens, and crystal-clear lakes.
There are over 188,000 lakes — most of glacial origin.
In winter, temperatures drop to –30 °C and below.

Light and Climate

Polar Day: the sun doesn’t set for up to 73 consecutive days.
Polar Night: up to 50 days without sunlight.
The Northern Lights can be seen up to 200 nights a year.
In summer, you can even read a book at night without extra light.

Animals of Lapland

Home to both fierce predators and northern symbols:

Reindeer — a central figure in the region’s culture and transport
Arctic hare — gray in summer and white in winter, perfect for camouflage
Arctic fox — fluffy, resilient, living even at –40 °C
Wolf, lynx, brown bear, wolverine — elusive but important tundra predators
Whooper swan — Finland’s national bird, nesting on northern lakes.

Safety First – For You and Our Animals

For the safety and comfort of both guests and animals, the route of the husky tour may be adjusted depending on weather, snow, and trail conditions. Our experienced team will always choose the best and safest path to ensure an enjoyable ride through Lapland's stunning winter landscape.

We are deeply committed to the health and happiness of our animals. All our huskies and reindeer are cared for with love and respect every day. We follow a strict no-kill policy, provide proper rest, and never overwork our animals. Their well-being is always a top priority — just as much as creating magical memories for you.
